New Hope Group’s Chief Operating Officer Andrew Boyd has advised that due to the severe weather associated with ex-tropical cyclone Debbie, wet weather protocol measures have been put in place to ensure the safety of all.

At the present time there are no significant impacts on mining operations and the company will continue to manage the situation within normal protocols. The company’s coal loading facility at the Port of Brisbane, Queensland Bulk Handling (QBH) suspended operations from 0730 a.m this morning.

Aurizon has advised the Toowoomba range section of the rail line to the Port of Brisbane has been closed.
